QB prospects
Aspiring to be the next big stars of the NFL, quarterback prospects for the 2025 draft are generating a buzz across the football world. Scouts and analysts are keeping a close eye on these talented individuals who have the potential to change the course of a team’s future. Let’s delve into the top QB prospects for the upcoming draft and analyze what sets them apart from the rest.
QB Realistic Options
When it comes to evaluating quarterback prospects, teams must weigh their options carefully to find the perfect fit for their roster. The 2025 NFL draft presents a plethora of promising quarterbacks, each bringing a unique skill set to the table. General managers and coaches face the challenge of identifying the QB who not only fits their team’s offensive scheme but also possesses the intangibles to thrive in the high-pressure environment of professional football.
Best QB Fits For Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks are in search of a quarterback who can lead their team to success in the post-Russell Wilson era. With several top-tier QB prospects available in the 2025 draft, the Seahawks have the opportunity to secure a player who could be their future franchise quarterback. Evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of each prospect will be crucial in determining the best QB fit for the Seahawks and their long-term success.
Which QB Would You Pick?
As we approach the 2025 NFL draft, the burning question on the minds of football fans and analysts alike is: which quarterback would you pick for your team? The prospect of selecting a QB who could become the face of a franchise is both exciting and daunting. With so much potential and talent on the table, the decision-making process becomes a strategic game of chess for teams looking to secure their quarterback of the future.
I’ve invested a fair amount of time and energy into these questions, beginning before the Geno Smith trade and acquisition of Sam Darnold. Like many others I listened to the thoughts and opinions of other Seahawks contributors and initially was looking at Jaxson Dart and Jason Milroe.
While both show some promise and possibility I found question marks with both of them and a number of others QB’s who have declared in this year’s draft
One QB prospect that captured my attention and interest is
Tyler Shough (Shock) . Comparing his accomplishments and stats with all of the QB prospects in this year’s draft.
Tyler actually stood out in every comparison, with every QB declared in this years draft class.
The one and only reservation I encountered was Tyler’s injury history which had diminished his draft stock considerably.
Unlike so many pundits,
I am not so quick to make assumptions or label players without investigating their history for myself.
DK Metcalf is a great example. DK had reportedly broken his neck in his last year in college and was told he would never play football again.
I was DK’s biggest advocate when the Seahawks drafted him after I’d investigated DK’s injury for myself. When I got to know more about who DK was and saw the determination and commitment that he had invested in his recovery all my reservations were answered.
I find the same to be true with Tyler Slough. Tyler’s injury was a once off that was reagrivated when he attempted to return to play too soon.
Once allowed to fully mend there has been no reoccurrence or additional injuries. Tyler’s 2025 NFL Combine stats were off the charts, surpassing all of his competition. He’s likely the worst best kept secret in this years draft, we can only hope he’s still available to us and that we don’t let him slip through our fingers like Anthony Richardson did.
There are rumors that the Seahawks are entertaining a trade with the Bears for their #10 pick for our #18 pick and a 2nd round pick.
Could that be to improve our chances of securing Tyler or if he’s not available then for an Oline pick that we’re looking at?
